Greensburg Community High School

The Greensburg girls tennis team won four of its five matches in straight sets Thursday night to defeat Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference opponent Frankin County 5-0. Both doubles pairings, Ella Chapman and Janae Comer and Josie Nobbe and Hailey Duerstock won 6-0, 6-0. Abigail Hoeing at No. 2 singles and Mary Harmon at No. 3 singles also won 6-0, 6-0. At No. 1 singles, Jenna Foster lost her first set 6-1, but rallied to win the second set 6-0 and then won the super tiebreak 10-4. The Pirates are now 11-0. Their next match is scheduled for Tuesday on the road at Waldron at 5 p.m.
