Tennis picks up pair of wins over Rushville, Trinity Lutheran

The Greensburg boys tennis team completed their third match this week, defeating both Rushville on Wednesday and Trinity Lutheran on Thursday by scores of 4-1 in both matches. On Wednesday, Mason McNulty won at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-0. Dan Fisse won at No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-0. Brody Sanders lost at No. 3 singles 5-7, 1-6. In doubles, both pairings were victorious. Reece Beaver and Jake Duerstock won 6-0, 6-1. Reece Chapman and Wade Schutte won 6-0, 6-3. On Thursday, McNulty was defeated at No. 1 singles 6-2, 1-6, 2-6. All others were winners. Fisse won 6-0, 6-0. Sanders won 6-4, 6-2. Beaver and Duerstock won 6-3, 6-0, and Chapman and Schutte won 6-4, 6-1. The Pirates are back on the court Saturday in the Shelbyville Invitational at 9 a.m.
